good things about today

I got my iphone a little bit more sorted.  I can now send emails from it, and the calendar syncs with the calendars on the ipad and the macbook.  Am going back on Thursday for more help in sorting out my poor confused appleness (iphoto duplicating things uneccessarily, itunes and iphone not syncing properly, icloud not working...... etc)

I sorted out a replacement barclays bank card (not that we are really using this account, but my pay pal still operates from there..... need to sort that out, but its been so backburner for a long time.... and for some unknown reason they cancelled my card.  weirdness.  and slightly scary as they nearly wouldn't let me order a new one for reasons they wouldn't tell me.  and you can't access your online details... blah blah blah

Took some stuff back to Sainsburys.  and used a voucher I had.  glad I found that receipt.

I signed up for an ASDA credit card.  You can get cashback on it.  And SOD Sainsburies (they are annoying me lately for various reasons)

I filed some expenses

I paid into the school dinner money fund thing that pays for school lunches

did some filing (finally)

re wrote my bio for People Who Do Website.  (see draft version below)

(hmm none of it artistic or lovely.  but it feels good to get all this itty bitty niggly stuff out the way)

MY NEW BIO (draft)

Moyra is a creative thinker who likes to Get Stuff Done.

She is also a mother, artist and a yoga teacher.

Her background is in TV production, working for many years as a freelance archive researcher for historical documentaries (BBC, Discovery, PBS, History Channel).  She did once work on a feature film which has given her a whole host of celebrity tales to tell which is very fabulous... It also involved long hours of standing outside in the cold and rain being very bored.

Since 2005 Moyra has worked as a Creative Consumer, selected for her ability to easily generate ideas, both visually and verbally and called upon to help devise new product ideas for Blue Chip companies such as Nestle, Mars, GlaxoSmithKlein, SCA, and more.

Moyra also spent 2 years working as the Yoga and Pilates manager at triyoga, in Primrose Hill, London.  Which meant she also spent 2 years doing yoga at lunchtime, igniting a passion for yoga that  has culminated in her in completing a 2 year (500 hour) Yoga Teacher Training programme.

As well as being a portrait artist, Moyra runs various Art Workshops under the name Make: Do which aims to inspire people to get creative, messy and make their own fun.

She enjoys Art Journalling, mixed media and painting, and travels to study with her favourite teachers whenever she can.

Moyra met Curtis at Likemind (which she now hosts in Brighton), at a point when People Who Do were needing to expand and she was looking to start work again post motherhood.  She believes in serendipity and making your own luck. It was perhaps no coincidence that her long running blog is called Get Stuff Done: Creatiing My Life.
