I had a splendid time creating a House on Fire for my Experimental Art course. I layered chalk and paint and charcoal and pencil and crayon and used fingers and brushes..... got really into it.
I have learnt also that I do need to STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER as I can, if not supervised, waste untold amounts of time faffing bout on t'tinternet.
Other than the art play (more of that to come! so exciting!) I have booked a table at Restaurant at St Pauls on Sunday for my brother's 40th birthday. Me and Hub and Bub are going up to London to take Bro and his Wife out to lunch. It got a good write up in the Time Out Best Places to eat Sunday Lunch and its certainly an unusual venue. Not a cheap lunch for me. But I totally and utterly value my brother and spending quality time with him. And as I missed his big party... and also do not have any idea of what to get him for his birthday as he is richer than me theses days and has a very crowded and full house. A lunch treat is a nice present. Bub has written (dictated) a story for him, which I am going to make into a book. And I am going to attempt to make him a CD of the 'songs' that Bub has 'written' on the toy piano Bro gave him for Christmas. Bro is a musician, and is always giving us CDs. So it would be cool for Bub to give him one of his work, inspired by the gift he was given....
