I read another money book lately. I am a bit obsessed. Its a fascinating subject to be honest. And one I guess I am grappling with and - well, its about life in a way. So its about making the most of it. And something that isn't going to go away. Much as I really would like a 'prince charming' lottery win to take away the burden of ..... or something somehow somewhere to do it all for me... I mean even if you do win the lottery you still have to manage the stuff.
What I read in this last book I read, was really nothing more than a rephrasing. But words have power and I really liked this one. "Money for Me" What it means is that every time you save some money by, say, not buying the expensive but lovely trainers you just looked at, or eating lunch at home instead of out, you mentally pop some money (or track it as an 'income') into the Money for Me fund. Somehow it makes the whole being frugal thing so much more expansive and abundant.
I really liked it. And given that post holiday and post finishing off my book keeping I am again entering a phase of tracking my spending. As a way of properly looking after and caring for myself and my family, you understand. I am embracing More Money For ME! (OK, US - we are a team!!) MORE MONEY FOR US.
Today I didn't get lunch out. When I really nearly did. £5 in the money for me jar.
