Likemind this morning was brilliant. I met a man who is setting up a green business, advising folk how to get their houses insulated and save money on their household bills. And then I met a lady who suggested I do pet portraits - something I know a lot of portrait artists do but I have never tried. And she seemed to really like my work too, taking a card and saying that she would also let some friends who had children know about my work. And then I suggested to a young book binder and letter press print user that she do teaching workshops and sent her off with a list of the art workshops I know about.
And I didn't have a coffee!
For Lunch Bub and I went to visit R and M. R and I are friends I look after M every now and again and as he is more or less the same age as Bub he and Bub are friends too. It was lovely. She has an amazing house. And I have to share this idea of hers which beautifully solves the where to put all those great works of art you get if your child goes to nursery.... Photo uploaded soon. Get a giant picture frame and inside it put a cork board. And pin all the works of art inside it. It looked great.
Am still not eating meat, mostly avoiding diary and drinking a sort of green smoothie. Am now very hungry and gagging to scoff that wee packet of jaffa cakes over there. But am resisting!!
I am looking forward to meeting up with Kat from This Year I.... who has just started a photography business which looks FAB. can't wait to meet up!
